NP wins the ”GOLDEN TAG”
NP Collection, a textile industry company located in Hollola, won
the grand prize in the GOLDEN TAG AWARD ceremony that took place in
June, in Stockholm. The company was rewarded for the significant
enhancement of its business processes by implementing RFID solutions.
The GOLDEN TAG -award is granted annually by RFID Nordic and
Packmarknaden magazine. There were ten Nordic companies from various
industries applying for the award. NP Collection's award winning RFID
-case was the only project in the competition directed to consumers.
During
fall 2008 the NP store in Hollola was equipped with advanced
intelligent store solutions based on the RFID -technology. These
solutions include intelligent fitting areas where the customers will
get information on the garments that they are trying on and they may
also request a different size of the product straight to the fitting
room.
All of the NP Collection's products have been tagged with
RFID -identifiers. This enables the tracking of each product from the
manufacturing sites all the way to stores. The RFID -technology
generates remarkable savings in logistics and manufacturing procedures.
Rosendahl
Digital Networks Oy is one of the suppliers of intelligent store
solutions for the RFID -project. "There is a huge demand of the
intelligent store solutions globally. NP has set a good example when
implementing the technology and it has convinced many of the
possibilities these solutions have to offer", Markus Rosendahl, RDN's
CEO says.
GOLDEN TAG -award gives NP Collection courage to keep
utilizing the RFID -technology in their business operations and to find
new innovative ways to execute fashion retailing.
